Frozen Fire Suppression Line

A high school locker room had a fire suppression line freeze and break in the plaster ceiling of an unheated portion of the locker room.    The system was shut off, pressure released and the line was repaired.   SERVPRO injected heated air into ceiling to dry that space. 

The winter temperatures in Michigan can be severe.  It is important for facility managers to know the location and atmosphere temps of water lines. These situations are much easier to prevent than to clean up.  The resulting water damage from broken pipes can run turn into insurance claims, shut down schools, gymnasiums and other critical operational areas.
