Apartment fire in Berrien County, MI

Something happened late at night to start a fire in an occupied apartment complex in Niles, MI.  Luckily, smoke alarms worked and occupants escaped the blaze unhurt.  But everything was water and smoke damaged badly.  Unfortunately, only a few had renters insurance to cover contents and housing.

Fire fighters worked throughout the night into the early morning hours to make sure the building was safely extinguished and other buildings did not catch fire.

SERVPRO of Berrien County, MI was on site the next morning offering board up services and water extraction.  It took a few days for the investigation to conclude before contents were removed.
